Complete Episode Guide: There's No Place Like Home Part 1 Guide

There's No Place Like Home Part 1 Theories

  • One of the reporters commented on how healthy the survivors look despite being on an island for over 100 days. She acts like she suspects that their story is not true. Other people must suspect too, especially since they originally heard that all the bodies were accounted for when they found the plane on the ocean floor.

  • When Sun enters Mr. Paik's office I think that the men in there were informing Mr. Paik that someone had bought a controlling share in his company.

  • Ben had that rod thingy that he had when he was time traveling before (Ep: 4x9, The Shape of Things to Come). This time he handed it Locke. I think Locke is going to need it when he gets inside the Orchid.

Observations from There's No Place Like Home Part 1

  • When Ms. Decker first makes her way to the cargo area to address the Oceanic Six, she walks by someone and says hi. We never see this person and she doesn't include him or her in her account of what will happen after they land. (Thanks to John Fischer for pointing this out.)

  • Mr. Paik talks down to Sun, but she stands up to him. She was a strong woman before she was on the island, but even stronger after.

  • David tells Hurley that he got Hurley's birthday present before Hurley gave them the money. He must have given it to them telling them never to spend it on anything for him.

  • Carole Littleton sees her grandson without knowing he is any relation.
