Something Nice Back Home Theories

• When Sawyer asks if Miles' buddies were the ones who killed Rousseau and Karl, Miles replies that they are not his buddies. Daniel, Charlotte, Miles, and Frank each have an agenda and a specific reason for being on the island, but I don't think any of them are there for Charles Widmore (unlike Keamy).

• Jack suspected, maybe even knew, he had appendicitis, but he didn't want to worry people, so he didn't tell anyone and tried to fool Juliet after she'd figured it out. I wonder what he was going to do if his appendix burst.

• Miles was staring at Claire, I don't think it was for the reason Sawyer thought. Miles can communicate with the dead. Perhaps he knows that something is going to happen to Claire. (Lost fan John Fischer suggests that perhaps she is already dead, that the explosion killed her.)

• Is it possible that Miles called on or has some control over whatever it is that made Claire see Christian?

• The fact that the smoke detector was beeping was a hint that the smoke monster was near, in the form of Christian Shephard. (Thanks Carlos and John.)

• I think Kate and Cassidy are still friends and Kate is doing Sawyer a favor by looking after her and his baby.

Observations from Something Nice Back Home

• Jack reads Alice in Wonderland to Aaron. There have been many Alice in Wonderland references in Lost, including the titles of two episodes, episode 1x5, White Rabbit and episode 3x22, Through the Looking Glass.

• Jin says, "I promise you, Sun, I will get you and our baby off this island." He doesn't promise to get himself off the island with her.

• BuddyTV points out that based on the newspaper article that Jack looked at, and without any time distortions, Aaron would be about 2 years and 10 months old. See how at BuddyTv.

• Juliet didn't tell Kate that Jack wanted her during the surgery, she just said she needs an extra set of hands.

• Christian Shephard is wearing the same black suit and white tennis shoes that we saw him wearing on the island.

• Jack asks for Clonazepam, which is the same medication that Hurley asked Sawyer for when Hurley was seeing Dave on the island (Ep: 2x18, Dave).

• The cutouts decorating the fridge in Jack and Kate's house are the same cutouts seen in an earlier episode at the mental hospital. GetLostPodacast has pictures for comparison.

• Sitting in the chair in the dark, waiting for Kate to come home, Jack acts very much like his father.

• Kate uses the same words Jack's father used, "Let it go, Jack."
