Complete Episode Guide: The Man Behind the Curtain Guide

The Man Behind the Curtain Theories

  • Locke manipulated Ben into taking him to see Jacob by announcing to the camp that Ben was going to do so.

  • Ben gave his father one last chance to redeem himself, but Roger didn't rise to the challenge, so Ben gassed him.

  • We'll see the wooden Ben doll again.

Observations from The Man Behind the Curtain

  • In the beginning, at least, it seems Roger really wanted the baby. He told Emily to hold him tight. Then, after Emily died, Roger had resentment towards Ben.

  • Neither Locke nor Ben was raised by his mother and both of their mothers were named Emily.

  • The person that checked Roger in to the Dharma Initiative was a nurse.

  • Ben has daddy issues, just like so many of the crash survivors.

  • Marvin Candle appears to only have use of one arm in this video as well as some of the other videos we've seen.

  • The rabbit Ben used to con Sawyer appears to be the same rabbit he had as a pet as a kid.

  • The gas came from the hostiles, which is why it didn't have a Dharma label. They used the same gas to later gas Kate, Sayid, and Jack.
