Complete Episode Guide: Episode 3x1, A Tale of Two Cities Guide

A Tale of Two Cities Theories

  • I don't think Christian Shepard was seeing Sarah, but I do think he was seeing someone we know. Perhaps Juliet?

  • They didn't put Karl back into the cage after his attempted escape. I think it's because Karl is really working for them, but posing as a prisoner (does the name non-Henry ring a bell?) to gain their trust.

  • I think Juliet is Libby's and/or Penny's sister.

A Tale of Two Cities Observations

  • Jack asks if they are left over from the Dharma Initiative and Juliet says, "It doesn't matter who we were, it only matters who we are." This echoes what Sarah had told Jack when he wanted to know who her lover was, "It doesn't matter who he is, it just matters who you're not."

  • Adam (from the book club meeting) says that "[Ben] wouldn't read this [Stephen King book] in the damn bathroom. But when Ben was in the hatch and Locke gave him a book to read he said, "You don't have any Stephen King?" (Ep: 2x15, Maternity Leave)
