If Jack was shown in flash forwards instead of flashbacks, in episode 3x22, Through the Looking Glass, why did he tell the doctor to "go upstairs and get my dad!"? If this were in the future and somehow Jack's dad popped up again, could you really expect the hospital to re-hire a doctor that had killed a patient due to being drunk during surgery, lost his medical license, been declared dead and still drinks on the job? I think it would be so cool if these were indeed flashbacks and the lies Jack was so sick of telling were...he and Kate had been on the island before and they had to act like they had never met.
