When Naomi's phone is answered, it's George Minkowski. He tells Jack to sit tight, that they will come and get everyone. - Episode 4x1, The Beginning of the End
George calls to say that he's having a hard time getting a lock on the signal and to give Naomi the phone so she can rejigger some of the settings. Jack says she's getting wood.George calls back later and gets Kate, who says Naomi is not available. The next time he calls Naomi answers. She rejiggers the settings and then dies.

Jack gives Daniel Naomi's phone and he's able to call the freighter. George answers and asked what happened because they'd lost communications with the helicopter. Daniel told him and George asks if he's on speaker. Daniel walks away from Kate and Jack to talk to him. - Episode 4x5, The Constant
Desmond sees George on the freighter, strapped to a bed. He asks Desmond if it's happening to him, too. When the doctor comes in, George tells him that he's not crazy, it's happening to Desmond too.Desmond and Sayid untie George so that he can take them to the radio room. George tells them, "We were anchored here, waiting for our orders, bored out of our minds. Me and Brandon, he's one of the crew members, we took out the ship's tender. We just wanted to see the island. But Brandon started acting crazy, so we had to turn around."
Brandon died.
George gets them to the equipment room, but then George says he can't get back and then he dies.

Michael remembers reporting to the freighter and meeting George. George asks if Michael is the engineer and Michael says he's the deck hand. George tells him that everyone is treated equally on this boat.
