Pierre Chang

• Comic-Con 2008 Video
  Dr. Marvin Candle, in leisure wear, begins to introduce himself as Dr. Marvin Candle, but then says his real name is Pierre Chang. He asks someone to take a crying baby out and says that whoever is watching him will be in the future 30 years and he and all the Dharma folk will be dead after a purge. He says that the Dharma Initiative must go on.

• Episode 5x1, Because You Left
  Pierre Chang gets up, feeds the baby, gets ready for work while listening to Shotgun Willy, and goes to the barracks. While filming the Orientation Video for station two, a man bursts in and says there is a problem at the Orchid.

  Pierre goes to the Orchid, which is just being built. Down below, the foreman tells him that his man was drilling, but the drill bit melted and the man grabbed his head and then passed out. His nose is bleeding.

The foreman says there is something on the other side of the wall and shows Pierre an image that reveals part of the wheel that Ben turned to move the island. The foreman says they can get to it by putting charges in a couple of different places, but Pierre tells him to do no such thing. He says, "This station is being built here because of its proximity to what we believe to be almost limitless energy. And that energy, once we can harness it correctly, it's going to allow us to manipulate time."

• Episode 5x9, Namaste
  In 1977, Pierre processes Jack into the Dharma Initiative. He apologizes for the disorganization, saying the woman who was supposed to do it had a baby the previous night, so they pulled him out of his lab. He gives Jack his work assignment as a workman.

• Episode 5x13, Some Like it Hoth
  Horace talks to Pierre on the phone and Pierre wants Miles to bring the body Miles had picked up from outside the worksite to Pierre at the Orchid Station. When Miles arrives, Pierre is mad that Hurley is with him. Pierre threatens that Hurley will have to weigh polar bear turds if he tells anyone about the body.

Pierre tells Miles to wait and goes somewhere to examine the body. When he leaves, Miles tells Hurley that Pierre is his father.

Pierre returns and tells Miles to take him to the Swan Station right away. During the ride over, Hurley makes chit chat and asks Pierre about his kids. Pierre says he has a 3-month-old named Miles. Miles seems shocked that Pierre likes country music.

Miles and Hurley drop Pierre at a hidden worksite. Hurley recognizes that they are building the Swan Station.

• Episode 5x14, The Variable
  Daniel tells Pierre that he has to evacuate everyone on the island because there is going to be a big accident. Pierre asks how he knows and Daniel says he's from the future. Pierre thinks he's just having fun because he'd heard Pierre talking about time travel. He tells Daniel to stay away from him.

• Episode 5x15, Follow the Leader
  Pierre sees Hurley leaving the Barracks and going into the jungle and he follows him. He comes upon Miles and Jin with Hurley and says that Daniel said they were from the future. Hurley says that's ridiculous, so Pierre begins asking him questions. Hurley caves and says they are from the future. Pierre asks Miles if it's true that Miles is his son and Miles confirms. Pierre asks about the accident, and Miles says he should listen to Daniel.

  Pierre goes to security to tell them they have to evacuate all non-essential personnel, and he finds them beating Sawyer and Juliet. He asks what's going on and Radzinsky says that he is in charge now.

• Episode 5x16, The Incident
  Pierre stops the drilling at the Swan site, but Radzinsky starts it up again. Pierre points out that the readings on the drill jumped, but Radzinsky won't stop.

  Phil calls on the walkie-talkie to tell Radzinsky that the hostile and some new recruits attacked them and then escaped, and Radzinsky is sure they are going to the Swan site, so he tells Phil to get some guns and some men and get out there.

  Shortly after Phil shows up, he spots Jack and they have a shoot out. Kate, Sawyer, Juliet, and Miles come in and get control of the Dharma crew, and Jack drops the bomb down the hole. The magnet begins pulling things into the hole and Radzinsky tells everyone to get out of the there. Some scaffolding falls on Pierre, trapping his arm, but Miles yells, "Dad," and gets Pierre free.
