Ana-Lucia returns to work after a four month leave. The captain, Teresa Cortez, puts her on desk duty and she asks if it's because she's Ana-Lucia's captain or if it's because she's her mother. Teresa answers that it's both. Ana-Lucia asks for a transfer. Teresa doesn't give her a transfer, but lets her do patrol. - Episode 2x20, Two for the Road
Teresa tells Ana-Lucia that Jason is dead and she knows that Ana-Lucia did it and she can help her. Ana-Lucia doesn't want her help and quits the force.Just before Ana-Lucia gets on Flight 815, she calls her mother and tells her that she is coming home.
