• Episode 3x10, Tricia Tanaka is Dead
  Hurley finds an old Dharma bus turned over in the jungle, after following Vincent, who had brought a skeletal arm to the beach. Inside the bus, Hurley finds the skeleton of a man dressed in a Dharma Work Man uniform with the name Roger on it.

  Hurley and Jin remove Roger from the bus, and in the process, knock off his head.

  Later Sawyer is startled to find the skull in the bus. Sawyer props Roger up against the van with a beer.

• Episode 3x20, The Man Behind the Curtain
  In flashbacks, Ben remembers his father bringing him to the island. His father is upset that he has been given a janitorial assignment.

  Roger forgets Ben's birthday and says it's Ben's fault that his mother died when Ben was born.

  As a young man, Ben asks his father if he really thinks his mother's death was Ben's fault and his father says he doesn't know. Ben puts on a gas mask and gasses his father.

  Later, Richard asks if they should go get the body of Roger, and Ben tells them to just leave it out there.

• Episode 5x10, He's Our You
  Roger mops up outside Sayid's cell and says that Sayid is stupid for getting caught by the Dharma idiots. Sayid points out that Roger is the one who is mopping up after them. Ben comes in with food for Sayid and Roger sees him and roughs him up. Later, when Ben comes to Sayid, his glasses are broken and Sayid tells him that his father was hard on him as well.

• Episode 5x11, Whatever Happened, Happened
  Roger asks Kate to help him get the Dharma bus out of the house. They seem to bond a bit. Jin brings Ben back after he was shot and Roger seems genuinely concerned.

  Roger waits outside the infirmary for news on Ben. Sawyer comes along and says he'll find out how Ben is doing. He asks Roger for his keys, but Roger discovers he doesn't have them.

  Later, Roger burst into the infirmary and finds Kate donating blood to Ben. Juliet wants him to leave, but Kate suggests that he wait with her.

  Roger tells Kate that Ben stole his keys to let out "that animal" and that it's his fault. Ben's mother died the day Ben was born and Roger tried to do with him what she'd have wanted him to do.

• Episode 5x13, Some Like it Hoth
  Roger returns from the medical station with supplies for young Ben. He sees that Ben is gone and at first thinks he's dead, but Juliet says that she was gone for 10 minutes and when she returned, Ben was gone. Roger gets mad and goes to security.

  Kate finds Roger drinking on the swing set and tells him that everything is going to be okay. Roger suspects that she knows something and she leaves.

  Later, Roger goes to clean a classroom and Jack is already there cleaning. Roger asks what he's doing and Jack says he heard what happened to Roger's son, so he's covering for him. Roger says he doesn't need help.

  Before Jack leaves, Roger asks if he knows Kate, because she seemed really interested in Ben and Roger thinks she had something to do with Ben's disappearance. Jack says that Kate would never hurt that kid and that Roger has been drinking too much.

• Episode 5x16, The Incident
  Roger sees Sayid and Jack trying to sneak to the tree line from the Barracks and he shoots Sayid. They have a shoot out and Hurley drives in and gets Sayid and Jack and they drive away.
