Naomi ejects from a helicopter before it crashes in the ocean and is found by Desmond, Hurley, Charlie, and Jin. She is barely able to speak when Desmond takes off her helmet and she says, "Desmond?" - Episode 3x19, The Brig
Naomi is at the main camp, hidden in Hurley's tent. She tells Sayid that they found the plane and everyone on it was dead. Sayid asks Desmond if he actually saw her helicopter and she realizes he doesn't trust her. She pulls out the satellite phone and tells Sayid to remind her not to rescue him.

Naomi tells Charlie that there was a big deal made over him when everyone thought he was dead. A Greatest Hits album was released.

Naomi goes with Jack's group to the radio tower. She shows Jack how to use the satellite phone in case something happens to her.When they get a signal, she turns on the phone, but Rousseau's message is still blocking it. Rousseau turns off her message at the radio tower and Naomi goes outside to get a signal.
She gets a signal and dials, but then falls to the ground with a knife in her back. Locke had thrown the knife.

Naomi manages to sneak away, though she's bleeding from her knife wound. She creates a dummy trail that Rousseau and Jack follow, but Kate ends up finding her. Kate tells her that it wasn't her group that threw the knife at Naomi, it was John Locke. Naomi's phone rings and she talks to George on the freighter. She covers for the group by not telling about the knife wound. She tells George to tell her sister that she loves her, and then Naomi dies. - Episode 4x2, Confirmed Dead
In a flashback, Naomi makes plans to go to the island. Matthew Abbadon gives her instructions and Naomi doesn't like the team he's sending with her, a head case, Daniel Faraday; a ghost buster, Miles Straum; an anthropologist, Charlotte Lewis; and a drunk pilot, Frank Lapidus.Matthew says that this is her team and not to question it. She asks what to do if there are survivors of Flight 815 and he says there aren't. She doesn't seem too sure. He says that it is up to her to protect the four members of the team.

In Miles' flashback, he meets Naomi and she takes him to the kitchen area of an empty restaurant and shows him the dead body on the table. She tells him that he's there for an audition and wants to know what he can tell her about this man. Miles says that his name is Felix and he was delivering papers, photos, and a purchase order for an old airplane to Widmore.Naomi says that she is leading an expedition and her employer wants Miles to be part of it because there are a lot of dead people on the island who can help lead them to the person they are looking for.
