  • Episode 1x17, In Translation
    Jin asks Mr. Paik for Sun's hand in marriage and is surprised when he agrees. The only catch is that Jin must work for him. Jin quickly realizes that Sun's father does shady business and Jin can't bring himself to tell Sun. Instead he does what Mr. Paik asks. At one point, Jin ruffs up a guy, in order to save him from being killed by one of Mr. Paik's men.
  • Episode 3x2, The Glass Ballerina
    Mr. Paik suspects that young Sun broke a glass ballerina, but Sun says the maid did it, so Mr. Paik fires the maid.

    Mr. Paik finds out that Sun is having an affair with Jae. He wants Jin to kill him, but doesn't tell Jin why.

    Mr. Paik finds Sun at Jae's funeral and tells her to go home to her husband.

  • Episode 3x18, D.O.C.
    Sun sees her father at work and he seems happy to see her, until she asks for one hundred thousand dollars. He wants to know why and she says she can't tell him, but it will help someone she loves from feeling great shame.

    He knows that it is for Jin and so he says that he will give her the money, but Jin will be in his debt and will no longer be a floor manager, but will work directly for him.

  • Episode 4x12, There's No Place Like Home Part 1
    Mr. Paik and Mrs. Paik are there to greet Sun when she gets to Honolulu. A few months later, Sun goes to visit her father in his office. He asks how the pregnancy is going and she tells him not to pretend to care about her baby, and that he hated Jin. He tells her to respect him. She tells him that with the Oceanic settlement she bought a controlling interest in his company and now he must respect her. She says that she is going to have her baby and then they can talk about the company. "Our company."
