The matchmaker hired by Sun's parents sets her up with Jae Lee. They hit it off really well and Jae seems like a really nice guy. Sun is crushed to find out that he had previously met an American woman whom he plans to marry. - Episode 2x16, The Whole Truth
Sun puts the "Do Not Disturb" sign on a hotel room door and walks inside. Jae is there and asks if Jin knows she's there. She says no. He thinks that Jin would be proud of her for learning English.They practice some English and Sun tells him that she can't tell Jin because of who she is learning the English from. She tells him that she and Jin saw a doctor and they are not able to have children. She plans to run away to America.
He tells her that he ran away to America once because he thought he was in love, but she shouldn't run away from her life.
She asks if Jin is her life. He tells her to stay, but he's not saying she should stay for Jin.
