  • Episode 3x20, The Man Behind the Curtain
    In flashbacks, Horace and a woman drive up when Roger carries Emily and baby Ben out of the woods.

    Several years later, Horace gives Roger a job and he and Ben move to the island. Horace checks in on Roger after Roger has to drive through gunfire.

    Several years later, Horace is gassed by the hostiles and Ben closes his eyes.

  • Episode 4x11, Cabin Fever
    In a dream, Locke sees Horace building a cabin. Horace says that he's been dead for 12 years and that when Locke finds him, he'll find Jacob.

    Locke searches through the skeletons in the Dharma pit until he finds Horace. He looks in his pocket and finds a map that has Jacob's cabin on it.

  • Episode 5x8, LeFleur
    In 1974, Horace is the leader of the Dharma Initiative group on the island. When Sawyer wakes up after being zapped by the sonic fence, Horace asks him who he is and what they are doing there. He says that Sawyer's friends said he had to talk him because Sawyer was the captain of their boat that crashed near the island.

    Sawyer gives his name as James LaFleur and says he wants to stay to search for his crew. Horace tells him that only people who are a part of the Dharma Initiative can be there and that Sawyer isn't Dharma material.

    • After Richard comes, Sawyer talks Horace into letting him talk to Richard. Happy that Sawyer is able to help insure the truce between the Dharma Initiative and Richard's indigenous people, Horace says Sawyer can stay two more weeks to search for his people.

      Three years later, Sawyer and his group are still there. Sawyer is head of security and goes to get Horace when he is drunk and blowing up trees after having a fight with his pregnant wife, Amy. Horace tells Sawyer that the fight was over the ankh that belonged to Amy's late husband that Horace found in her sock drawer.

    • Episode 5x10, He's Our You
      Horace moderates the discussion on what to do with the prisoner (Sayid). Amy agrees with Radzinsky that they should take him to Oldham. During the vote, everyone raises their hands except for Sawyer, and Horace says that he would really like to say that the decision was unanimous, so Sawyer reluctantly raises his hand.

      They take Sayid to Oldham, who gives him truth serum. Horace and Oldham ask Sayid questions, while Horace tries to keep Radzinsky quiet as he butts in with his own questions and outbursts.

    • Episode 5x11, Whatever Happened, Happened
      After the fire, Horace tells everyone to be ready with their security stations. They don't know if there will be another attack. He tells Jack that Sayid had help in breaking out.

      Later, Horace catches Kate with Sawyer and Sawyer says that she's new and he was asking her if she saw anything suspicious, but she hadn't.

      Horace gets Sawyer and they go to check the cell and find janitor's keys in it.

    • Episode 5x13, Some Like it Hoth
      Horace bring Miles into the circle of trust because Sawyer is gone. He has Miles take a body bag out to Radzinsky and then bring a body back. When Miles returns, Horace is on the phone with Pierre Chang asking if "it" has anything to do with the electromagnetism. Horace has Miles take the body out to Pierre at the Orchid Station.

    • Episode 5x15, Follow the Leader
      Horace tries to get Radzinsky to stop beating Sawyer, but Radzinsky says that he's in charge now.
