  • Episode 1x9, Solitary
    Ethan and Locke return to the caves with some suitcases they found while out hunting.
  • Episode 1x10, Raised by Another
    Claire wakes in the night, screaming. While others take care of her, Ethan fills water bottles. The next day, while Hurley is going over the plane's manifest, he calls Ethan "Lance". Ethan says, "No, it's Ethan." He tells Hurley he is from Ontario.

    When Claire goes into labor in the jungle, Charlie sends Ethan to get Jack, but awhile later, after they discover it was false labor, Charlie and Claire walk towards the cave and Ethan steps out and says, "Well, hello there."

  • Episode 1x11, All the Best Cowboys Have Daddy Issues
    Hurley tells Jack that Ethan was not on the manifest. They later discover that Charlie and Claire are missing. Jack and Kate are searching through the jungle when they get separated. Ethan confronts Jack and says that if he doesn't stop following, Ethan will kill Charlie or Claire. Jack continues to follow and he and Kate soon come upon Charlie hanging by his neck from a tree.

  • Episode 1x15, Homecoming
    Claire is back and Charlie wants to find Ethan. Ethan finds Charlie and tells him to bring Claire back and gives him a place to take her. Instead, Jack makes Charlie stay behind, while he and a group of people he's chosen go to get Ethan. Once they find Ethan, Charlie comes out of hiding and shoots Ethan dead.
  • Episode 2x15, Maternity Leave
    Claire has flashbacks from the two weeks that she had been missing after Ethan had kidnapped her. She remembers a hospital type of setting with Ethan acting as a doctor and being very attentive. Claire really likes him, and even after she is helped to escape, she tries to get back to him.
  • Episode 3x1, A Tale of Two Cities
    Ethan is fixing the plumbing of Juliet's house when the plane flies over and breaks apart. Ben sends him to the fuselage section, telling him to blend in and get a list.

  • Episode 3x7, Not in Portland
    In Juliet's flashback, Ethan passed Juliet in the hallway, but she didn't seem to know him. Later, after her ex-husband died, Ethan gave her a tissue. She asked if they'd met. Dr. Alpert came in and introduced Ethan as his colleague.

  • Episode 3x14, Exposi
    Ethan introduces himself to Nikki and Paulo and says that he found some luggage and can help them find clothes if they need them.

  • Episode 3x16, One of Us
    In a flashback, Juliet remembers Ethan being at the airport when she was preparing to leave for her new job. He took her vitals.

    After being tranquilized, Juliet woke up in the sub and Ethan told her that he had to strap her in because the last leg of the trip was always bumpy. He told her that they were here and pointed to the door above them.

  • Episode 5x1, Because You Left
    Ethan shoots Locke in the leg and wants to know how many came on the Nigerian plane. Locke says he wasn't on the plane and tells Ethan that he knows his name is Ethan. He says that Ben Linus sent him to lead the Others and Ethan says that's the most ridiculous thing he's heard. He is about to shoot Locke, but there is a flash of light and then Ethan is gone.

  • Episode 5x9, Namaste
    In 1977, Amy tells Juliet that she and Horace have named their baby Ethan.
