Diane Jansen

• Episode 1x22, Born to Run
  Kate's friend sneaks her into the hospital to see Diane, who is dying of cancer. Kate says, "Mom, it's me, Katie." Diane opens her eyes and at first seems happy to see Kate, but then gets wide-eyed and yells for help. Kate runs out of the hospital.
• Episode 2x9, What Kate DidEpisode 2x9, What Kate Did
  After blowing up the house, Kate goes to a coffee shop where her mother is working. She tells Diane that she won't have to worry about Wayne anymore, that Kate took care of everything and Diane won't see her for awhile.
• Episode 2x13, The Long Con
  Diane serves Sawyer in the restaurant where she works.
• Episode 3x15, Left Behind
  Kate hides in the bathroom until her mother comes in. Diane wants to know what she is doing there and Kate wants to know why her mother turned her in. Diane was hoping that Kate was there to apologize, but Kate says she's not sorry about what she did. She did it for Diane because Wayne treated her so badly. Diane says that she loved Wayne and that Kate did it for herself. Diane says if she ever sees Kate again, she will yell for help.

• Episode 4x4, Eggtown
  Diane is set to testify against Kate in her murder trial. Diane goes to see Kate and tells her that she doesn't want to testify against her. She wants to see her grandson, but Kate doesn't want Diane to see Aaron.

  Diane doesn't testify, and the D.A. cuts a deal with Kate that includes no more jail time.
