Young Danielle Rousseau was caught in a storm and washed up onto the island in a life raft with her team, shortly after they found Jin in the water. Danielle is 7 months pregnant and is compassionate towards Jin. - Episode 5x5, This Place is Death
Young Danielle asks Daniel if he is okay and he asks if her name is Danielle Rousseau. Robert asks if there is a radio tower, and Jin says he needs to find his camp. He asks if they saw a helicopter. Danielle talks him into going with them to the radio tower and then to his camp. She asks what he expects to find and he says his wife.On the way to the radio tower, Nadine disappears and then drops from the sky, dead. The smoke monster drags Montand to a hole and everyone grabs on to save him. His arm comes off and the rest of his body is dragged down the hole. They hear him say that the smoke is gone and he's hurt and needs help. They all start to climb down to him, but Jin holds Danielle back because she is pregnant.
The flash of light comes and Jin makes his way to Rousseau's camp, where he finds two bodies of men who had been shot and Danielle ready to shoot Robert. He convinces her that he doesn't want her or the baby to get hurt and she lowers the gun, but then he raises his to shoot her, but it doesn't fire. She shoots Robert in the head as Jin steps out of hiding.
She points the gun at Jin saying that he just disappeared and he's sick too. She shoots at him, but he gets away.

While she sleeps, Ben comes into young Rousseau's shelter. He takes her baby and tells her that if she wants her baby to live to always run the other way when she hears whispers. He leaves as she yells for him not to take her Alex.
