Richard Alpert Part

In 2007, Locke comes into Richard's camp and Richard says it's been three years and he wants to know where Locke was. Locke says that he'll explain on the way and takes Richard on an errand. Locke is surprised that Richard really doesn't know where Locke was.

Locke tells Richard that a man is going to come out of the jungle with a bullet in his leg and Richard has to remove it and tell the man to bring everyone who left back and that he has to die. Richard watches as Locke hobbles out of the jungle. He goes and removes the bullet then goes back to the present Locke. Locke asks if everything went okay and Richard says yes.

They go back to Richard's camp and Locke tells everyone that they are going to see Jacob. As he walks away, Richard says to Ben that he thinks Locke might be a problem. Ben says, "Why do you think I tried to kill him?" and Richard looks shocked.

After Sayid removes the core to the bomb, Richard knocks out a wall of the tunnel to reveal the basement of a Dharma house. Eloise is going to leave, but Richard knocks her out and tells Jack that he is protecting their leader and she'll be mad when she wakes up, but that's better than dead.

In 2007, Richard takes Locke's group to see Jacob at the statue. On the way, he wonders how Locke can be alive. He says that he's seen the island do things he can barely describe, but he's never seen it bring anyone back to life.

At the statue, Richard wants Locke to go in alone, but Locke brings Ben. Richard opens the stone door and let's them go in.

Ilana comes and asks for Ricardo. She asks what lies in the shadow of the statue and Richard answers in Latin. They dump out the crate to show Richard the body of John Locke.
