Sayid builds Shannon a new shelter, but she moves out when he doesn't believe that she saw Walt. Sayid tries to calm Shannon, but she runs through the jungle in search of Walt. In the jungle he tells her he loves her. Sayid and Shannon both see Walt and Shannon runs after Walt. Shannon is shot. Sayid stares down Ana-Lucia, who is holding the gun.Episode 2x8, Collision
Ana-Lucia ties up Sayid and after letting everyone else go, admits to him that she shot the person who shot her while she was pregnant.Episode 2x14, One of Them

Sayid goes with Ana-Lucia to find Henry's balloon. At a campfire, just the two of them, he tells Ana-Lucia that he doesn't blame her for Shannon's death. She was just protecting her own people. He blames the Others.They find the clearing where the balloon is supposed to be and it's not there. This confirms for Sayid that Henry is an Other, but Ana-Lucia talks him into looking further.
Episode 2x17, Lockdown
Sayid wants to leave the jungle when they can't find Henry's balloon, even though Ana-Lucia wants to stay. Charlie calls them and they find a grave and the balloon.Back at the hatch, Sayid tells Henry that they dug up the grave and found the real Henry Gale.
