Episode 2x19, S.O.S.
Jack changes non-Henry's dressing and tells him that he's going into the jungle to try and trade Henry for Walt. Henry says they'll never give him Walt.Ana-Lucia gives Jack the gun and tells him not to go alone. Jack invites Kate to go with him. As they walk through the jungle Kate sees a doll, and when she picks it up, they both get caught in a net. Kate tries to shoot the rope, but misses. Jack is successful in shooting the rope and getting them down.
Kate tells Jack of the medical hatch she and Claire had found.
As Jack and Kate sit and wait for the Others, Kate says she's sorry she kissed him. Jack says, "I'm not." They look as if they might kiss again, but they hear something in the jungle. Someone falls at their feet. It's Michael.
Episode 2x20, Two for the Road
Jack is more concerned about going into the jungle and finding the Others than he is about making sure Michael is okay. Kate brings him back to reality and they carry Michael to the hatch. After they hear Michael's story, Jack apologizes to Locke for not believing him when they first brought non-Henry to the hatch. He tells Locke that he was right and they decide they need to get the guns.Jack takes Kate and Locke to help him get the guns from Sawyer, and ends up pulling his gun on Sawyer. Sawyer realizes that Ana-Lucia stole his gun and Locke tells Jack that non-Henry had attacked Ana-Lucia that morning.
Episode 2x21, ?
When Jack sees that Ana-Lucia, Libby, and Michael have been shot, he wants to go after non-Henry Gale, but then there would be no one to care for Libby. Eko says that he and Locke will go instead.Jack forces Sawyer to show Kate where his stash is so that he can know where the guns are in exchange for Libby getting some relief with the heroin.
Episode 2x22, Three Minutes
Jack wants to get a bunch of people to go with Michael to the Others' camp to get Walt, but Michael is adamant that it should only be the people that know about it. Jack finally agrees, but says they will bury Ana-Lucia and Libby first.Jack and Sawyer have a heart to heart. Sawyer feels badly about Ana-Lucia's death and tells Jack because Jack is the closest thing Sawyer has to a friend.
Sayid tells Jack that he thinks Michael has been compromised and that they have to give Michael the illusion that he's in control and then figure out what to do.
Episode 2x23, Live Together, Die Alone
Sayid makes a plan to meet Jack and the party that Michael is leading on the other side of the island. He doesn't want Jack to tell anyone else.On their way to the Others' camp, Jack makes Michael tell the truth and Michael reveals that he let non-Henry go and that he shot Ana-Lucia and Libby. He says he had to do it to get his boy back. Jack tells the group that he has a plan.
Later, they see Sayid's signal and Jack realizes that Michael is not taking them to the Others' camp. Suddenly they are shot with darts.
They are taken to a pier, where Hurley is set free and Michael and Walt are given a boat to leave in.
Jack and Kate exchange a glance.
