Eko breaks Charlie's Virgin Mary statue in front of Claire, and Charlie acts like he didn't know the heroin was inside. Eko forces Charlie to show him where the statue was found and after trying several times to get out of it, Charlie takes Eko to the plane. Eko gives him another statue to replace the one he broke, and when Charlie goes to hide the statue in the jungle, we see that he adds it to a stash he already has.Episode 2x12, Fire + Water
Charlie has weird dreams, which cause him to sleepwalk. His dreams are about Aaron being in danger, and sometimes he wakes up with Aaron in his arms. People begin to mistrust him and those that know he is an addict think that he is using again. Locke finds him getting into his heroin stash and takes it.Charlie talks to Eko about his dreams and Eko thinks that his dreams are telling him that Aaron is in danger. Charlie begs Claire to baptize Aaron, but everyone tries to keep him away from Claire. Charlie starts a fire in the jungle and takes Aaron, but Locke gets Aaron back.

Charlie helps Sawyer gain control of the guns because Charlie wants Locke to look like a fool.Episode 2x17, Lockdown
Charlie finds a grave in the jungle and calls Sayid and Ana-Lucia over. They find Henry's hot air balloon in a tree.Episode 2x22, Three Minutes
Charlie gives Claire some vaccine for her and the baby. She thanks him.Charlie finds Eko in the hatch and Eko asks if Charlie would bring his things from the beach. Charlie asks if Eko is moving in to the hatch and he says he is. Charlie wonders about the church, and Eko says he has a new job to do. Charlie is upset and tells Eko to get his own things from the beach.
Charlie tries to build the church by himself, but gets frustrated. Vincent brings him a Virgin Mary statue and then leads him to the stash in Sawyer's shelter. Charlie takes the statues and throws them into the ocean.
During the funeral for Ana-Lucia and Libby, Claire grabs Charlie's hand.
Episode 2x23, Live Together, Die Alone
Charlie helps Eko find dynamite and tries to get Locke to open the blast doors. He also tries to get Eko not to blow up the hatch, but is unsuccessful.When he gets back to the beach, he reunites with Claire.
