What Kate Did Flashback Information

Flashback Character: Kate
Flashback Highlights: Kate waits outside a house, playing with a Zippo lighter. A drunk man comes home and she puts him into bed. As she's leaving, the house blows up. Kate goes to her mother and gives her an insurance policy on the house. She tells her mother that she has taken care of her and now she must go away for awhile.

Kate is captured by a Marshal, but as he drives her to her arraignment, a black horse steps in their path and they crash, allowing Kate to get away. She goes to visit her father and confronts him for not telling her that Wayne, the man she blew up, was her real father. He says he never told her because he knew she would kill him.

What Kate Did Island Highlights:

Jack takes care of Sawyer, who says that he loves Kate. Jack leaves Sawyer in Kate's care and Sawyer asks why she killed him. Kate believes that Sawyer is Wayne and runs out of the hatch.

Jack and Locke return to the hatch to find the timer going off and Sawyer laying face down on the floor. Jack finds Kate out in the jungle. She believes she is going crazy because she saw a black horse. Jack grabs her and they kiss, then Kate runs away.

At the beach, they hold a funeral for Shannon.
