Dave Flashback Information
Flashback Character: HurleyFlashback Highlights: Hurley is in Santa Rosa Mental Hospital, talking to Dr. Brooks who says that Hurley's friend, Dave, is a negative influence.
Dave keeps getting Hurley to eat things that he shouldn't. Dr. Brooks talks to Dave and then has him and Hurley take a picture together. Later, Dr. Brooks asks Hurley why his mother put him in the hospital and Hurley says it's because he killed people. Dr. Brooks says that it was an accident. The deck was only supposed to hold eight people, yet there were 23 people standing on it. Hurley said it wouldn't have broken if he wasn't so fat.
Dr. Brooks tells Hurley that Dave is in his imagination and shows him the picture. Hurley sees that he has his arm around nothing and begins to believe that Dave is a hallucination. He still sees Dave, but when Dave tries to get him to escape, Hurley locks him out the window.
Libby is also a patient at Santa Rosa Mental Hospital.
Dave Island Highlights:
Locke is unable to walk and refuses a wheelchair. Kate gets him some crutches.Non-Henry swears that the real Henry Gale was already dead when he found him. Sayid knows that's not true because he had found a twenty dollar bill in which Henry Gale wrote a note to his wife about the island. Sayid tries to shoot non-Henry, but Ana-Lucia stops him. Locke talks to non-Henry and asks his real name, but he says to just keep calling him Henry.
Libby encourages Hurley to get rid of his stash, which he does by dumping everything out onto the forest floor. They almost kiss, but a bunch of people run by saying they found something. Hurley and Libby follow the people to the food drop, where everyone begins arguing over the food. Hurley is shocked. They want him to be in charge of handing it out, but he adamantly says he won't do it.
Hurley sees Dave, from the hospital, in his bathrobe and slippers and chases after him. Later, he talks to Dave and Dave tells him that he's still in the hospital and that he's imagined the island and everyone on it. Dave tries to get Hurley to jump off a cliff, but Hurley doesn't do it. Libby finds him and talks him into believing that she and he and everyone on the island are real. They kiss and walk away from the cliff.
