Claire believes she is being attacked, but no one other than Charlie seems to believe her. She is offended when Jack thinks she is crazy and offers her sedatives.Claire thinks she is in labor and sends Charlie to get Jack. Charlie gets Ethan to go, and then returns to Claire. They decide it was false labor and begin to go to the caves, but they are stopped by Ethan. Ethan takes Claire and Charlie, but Charlie later returns.

Claire denies that she is in labor when Kate finds her alone in the jungle. She doesn't want to have the baby. Kate helps Claire to realize that the baby is coming and that the baby wants Claire to be his mother. Claire thinks the baby will know she was going to give him up. Rousseau asks to hold Claire's baby, but Claire refuses to let her. Rousseau knocks Claire out and takes the baby. Claire begs Charlie to get her baby, whom she has just named Aaron.Charlie and Sayid find Rousseau and get the baby back.
