Flashbacks in Italics
First we see just an eye, then Sun comes into full view. She is on the beach watching Jin catch fish with only his hands.
Jack and Kate talk and flirt on the beach.
"If you two are done verbally copulating," Charlie says, "let's get going."
Sun's Flashback - The Hots for the Waiter
Sun is at an elegant evening party, talking with friends. Jin is the waiter and offers her champagne. He keeps glancing at her as he serves other partygoers.Later in the evening, Jin, still in his waiter clothing, approaches Sun and sneaks a kiss. She smiles, but quickly looks around. "My father," she says.
"He's busy being a host," Jin replies.
Sun tells Jin that she wants to run away to America. Jin doesn't agree. He wants to ask Sun's father for her hand in marriage, but Sun thinks that will never work. Jin gives her a flower and they kiss.
Jin Tackles Michael
Sun looks up to see Jin running toward Michael and Walt by the water. "What's the matter?" she yells in Korean, but Jin continues and tackles Michael. Sun and Walt both yell for him to stop, but Jin repeatedly punches Michael. Sayid and Sawyer come running and Sayid punches Jin, then puts him in a neck hold. Sayid asks Sawyer for the handcuffs and they handcuff Jin to part of the plane.Charlie's Beehive
Jack, Kate, Charlie, and Locke hike to the water source that Jack had found. They all think it is an amazing place and begin to search through the wreckage. Charlie goes off by himself and pulls a pack of heroin out of his pocket. There is only a little left. He is about to take some when Locke shows up and says, "Don't move."Charlie hides the bag and begins to explain, but Locke points out that Charlie is standing on a beehive. If Charlie moves, the hive will split open. Charlie admits to an irrational fear of bees. Locke sends Kate and Jack to find something to cover the hive.
Innocent Michael
People keep asking Michael what he did, but he keeps telling them he was just walking on the beach. Sun points to her wrist. Sayid says they will keep Jin handcuffed until they can figure out what happened.
Sun's Flashback - Permission Granted
Sun, long hair flowing behind her back, stands on a bridge and is approached by Jin. She asks how the talk with her father went. He says her father gave permission to him to have her hand in marriage. Sun throws her arms around Jin in an ecstatic hug. Jin tells her that he will have to do a year of management training and work in her father's factory the year after that. Sun isn't too happy about this, but is much happier when Jin produces a diamond ring.

At the beehive, Jack brings a suitcase, but before he can cover the hive, a bee stings Charlie in the face and when Charlie swats at it, he steps forward and splits the hive open. They all run in different directions, tearing off their bee filled shirts. Kate runs into a cave and finds two corpses. With the bee danger over, she shows the others what she has found.Jack thinks they look like they'd been laid to rest, having died of natural causes and not trauma. He thinks they've been there for 40 or 50 years and determines that one is male and one is female. "Our very own Adam and Eve," Locke says. Among their possessions, Jack finds a pouch containing one black stone and one white stone.
Charlie brings Kate the shirt she had peeled off and she says, "Thanks, it was full of bees."
"I thought C's, actually," Charlie says.
