Boone's Clothes
Sun stares out to sea, still watching the little dot of the raft and glancing at her wedding ring. Behind her Shannon struggles with several bags and Vincent. Sayid asks if she needs all that.She says she does. She drops one of the bags and some of Boone's clothing spills out. "I need these things," she says. "I can't just leave them. What are we doing? Hiding? As if they won't find us. It's just too much."
Sayid speaks softly that he'll help her.
Hurley's Bad Luck
Hurley sits by himself and Kate walks over to ask if he's okay. "That was messed up," Hurley says. "He just exploded in front of us. He was just trying to help. This is because I came."Kate doesn't understand and Hurley says, "I'm kind of bad luck."
Jack wets a shirt and Locke reaches in for a stick of dynamite. Jack wonders how many they need to blow the hatch. "Two should take care of the hinge," Locke says. "Three to be safe."
"Safe?" Jack says.
Island Beach Resort
Jin looks happy and free on the raft. They see the island from farther out and are surprised by how big it is. Michael wonders why it was never discovered. Sawyer thinks they should build a beach resort, but Michael never wants to see the place again. Walt worries about those still on the island.Find Sayid!
Charlie makes Claire a sling to put the baby in. She kisses his cheek.Rousseau comes over and says, "Sayid! Where is he?"
Charlie says he already left and goes to get him, leaving Claire alone with Rousseau. "What is his name? The child. What is his name?" she asks Claire.
Looking very uncomfortable Claire says, "Oh, I haven't named him yet." Rousseau asks to hold him and Claire says, "Why do you need Sayid?"
"You don't want me to hold him?" Rousseau says.
Claire gives an excuse about just having fed him. She notices the scratches on Rousseau's arm and a forgotten memory comes back to her. She remembers struggling with Rousseau.
"Why did I do that?" Claire asks. "Why did I scratch you?"
Charlie's Flashback - Lost Heroin
Charlie searches around a hotel room looking frantically for his heroin. A woman is passed out in the bed. Charlie goes into the bathroom and finds a baggie of heroin and pockets it. The woman wakes up and asks if he wants to do one more bump for the road.Charlie says there is none left and he has to catch a flight to L.A. She starts to panic. He says it's gone, but he'll look her up the next time he's in Sydney and he'll send her an autographed copy of his CD.
"I don't want your piece of crap CD from your piece of crap band!"
"Last night in the bar you said you were a fan."
"Fine," she says, "I'm a huge fan. Drive-thru is the best damned band ever.""Shaft," he says, "DriveShaft."
She realizes he has the heroin and beats him up, leaving him on the floor, clutching his heroin.
The Baby is Gone
Charlie catches up to Sayid and tells him that Rousseau is on the beach and she needs him. Sayid asks why, but Charlie doesn't know.They hear a scream from the beach and run to see what's wrong. Sun is holding Claire, who has a wound on her head. Claire is screaming because her baby is gone. Charlie looks in the cradle and all around, but can't find the baby.
Charlie punches Sayid. "It's your fault! You brought her into the camp. If you had just given me a gun."
Charlie goes for another punch and Sayid grabs him by the throat. "Do not hit me again. You want to waste time assigning blame? There's plenty to go around. She has a head start. If we leave now we can catch her."
Charlie wants to know how and Sayid says, "Because I know where she's going."
Who Will Carry the Dynamite?
Jack says he will carry the dynamite, but Locke says it would be better if they take two loads of three sticks, in case one of them doesn't make it. Jack says he and Locke will carry it, but Kate wants to do it.They argue until Locke says they don't have time to argue and they'll draw straws. Jack asks Hurley if he wants to carry some dynamite but Hurley just stares at him. "What?" Jack asks.
Hurley says, "You got some Arnzt on you."Kate and Locke draw the short sticks, so they carry the dynamite in their packs.
