Flashbacks in Italics

Sayid watches Shannon wipe Boone's brow. He asks if there is anything he can do, but she ignores him.

Sayid's Flashback - Finding Nadia

Sayid is led through Heathrow airport in handcuffs.

"Okay, Sayid," an agent says, "18 hours in a holding cell should be enough. Let's get to it, shall we? I'm Melissa Cole from Central Intelligence, this is Robbie Hewitt from ASIS. We're here because you're going to do us a favor."

C-4 explosives were stolen from an Army base and they want Sayid to help get them back. They know he is not a terrorist, they got him because he went to Cairo University and roomed with Essam Tasir, a member of the cell.

Sayid doesn't want to, but they say he will be saving lives. He wonders why he should care and the agent says, "Because we know where she is. Seven years since you left Iraq." She shows him a picture of Nadia. "Noor Abed-Jazeem. You want to know where she is? Then we're going to Sydney."

Wandering Jack

Kate walks through the jungle looking for Jack. She finds some white fabric that must be from his bandage and then he stumbles out. He looks really bad and Kate tells him that he needs to come back. He hasn't slept and he gave Boone a lot of blood.

He says he's not coming back without Locke. "Locke lied, Kate. Boone did not fall off any cliff. His leg was crushed, and I based my medical treatment on his lie."

"People are scared and upset," Kate says. "They don't know what's going on. We need you to come back, Jack. Please."

Boone's Funeral

Hurley and Jack carry Boone's body to a grave. Jack asks if Shannon wants to say something, but she doesn't.

After a pause, Sayid says, "I didn't know Boone very well, and for that I am sorry. On our sixth day here, a woman named Joanna died. She drowned. And Boone was the first one into the water. I didn't know him, but I remember his courage. And I know he will be missed."

Locke comes out of nowhere, still covered in Boone's blood, and says, "It was my fault. We found a plane in the jungle. It was lodged in the canopy." He says his leg was hurt, so he couldn't go, but Boone went and tried to radio for help. "His weight must have made the plane shift and it fell. It happened because he was trying to help us. He was a hero."

"Where were you?" Jack yells. "Where were you?" He tackles Locke. "What did you do to him?"

Charlie and Sawyer pull Jack off of Locke. Jack is still yelling, "You left him to die. You lied to me."

Jack collapses and Sawyer tells them to get him water.

Later, Jack and Sayid walk through the beach camp, followed by Kate and Sun. "He's lying," Jack says. Sayid says that Jack is suffering from fatigue. "Locke told Boone not to tell."

"Tell about what?" Sayid asks.

"Something about a hatch. Locke is hiding something."

"Jack," Sayid says, "What we need is for the one doctor on the island to get some sleep." Kate and Sun agree and Sun leads Jack off.
