Flashbacks in Italics
Jack gives out orders as he works on the seriously wounded Boone. Kate holds pressure on one of the wounds and Jack tells Sun to switch places with her. He tells Kate to go to the beach and ransack Sawyer's stuff to get any alcohol she can find. He asks Sun for scissors and tells Hurley to get one of the first class seats and some mesh to make a sterile environment.
Hurley looks queasy.
Jack says, "Hurley, I swear to god, if you faint-"
Hurley runs off to get the seat and mesh. Boone's lung collapses and Jack uses a knitting needle to puncture the lung and some tubing to re-inflate. Kate is still standing there and Jack yells, "What are you still doing here? The alcohol, Kate. You want him to live, get to the beach, now!"
Jack takes a deep breath.
Jack's Flashback - Time to Back Out
Jack helps his childhood friend, Marc Silverman, tie his bow tie. He asks if Marc is nervous and Marc says he'll be fine after about eight beers. Jack says that Marc can still back out, and Marc says, "Nah, it's just a stupid speech."The Tux Shop owner comes out with another tuxedo. "Okay, groom's turn." Jack takes the tux.
"You can still back out, Jack," Marc jokes.
You Are Not Going to Die
Boone comes around and says, "Oh it hurts."Jack rips Boone's pants and looks at his legs. "It's a closed fracture, but I think I can set it."
Sun asks about his chest wound and Jack says, "He's lost a lot of blood. I wonder how far Locke had to carry him."
Boone tries to say something and Jack takes his head in his hands and says, "Boone, listen to me. Listen! You are not going to die. I'm going to fix this, okay? I am going to save you."
Alcohol for Boone
Claire walks by the raft."Hey, Mamacita," Sawyer says, "you want some fish?"
Claire says she's not hungry and asks Michael how long it will be until the raft is ready. He tells her about a week or maybe less.
Michael tries to get Jin to eat some fish, but he is too busy working on the raft to eat.
"Can't say I blame poor Kato," Sawyer says, "his lady speaks English all this time and he didn't have a clue."
Kate rushes in and asks for all of Sawyer's alcohol. As he packs it up he asks what happened and she says that Boone fell off a cliff while they were hunting boar. Sawyer points out that they never bring back boar.
Boone is Sorry
Boone mutters that he's sorry. Jack says he needs a blood transfusion and Sun asks how he will do that? Jack doesn't know, but will figure it out after he sets the leg. Sun says she will set the leg and Jack needs to get some air.Charlie is outside and asks Jack a bunch of questions, including where Shannon is. Jack doesn't know and he snaps at Charlie.
Jack's Flashback - Rehearsal Dinner
At the wedding rehearsal, Marc says, "And here she is, the future Mrs. Jack Shephard." He hands the mic to a blond woman.Jack's fiancée says, "A little over two years ago, I blew a tire out and flipped over the center divider into oncoming traffic and was hit head-on by an SUV. My back was broken. They all said it was irreparable. And then there was Jack. And he promised he would fix me, because that's the kind of guy he is. Because you are the most committed man I have ever known, because you fixed me, I will dance at our wedding. To Jack, my hero, Jack."
