Locke's Dream
Boone shows up and Locke says that he's late. Boone says that he's done working. It's useless, they will never get the hatch open. "You say you can," Boone says, "but you can't.""Don't tell me what I can't do," Locke says. He explains that they didn't find the hatch by accident, they were supposed to find it. Boone wonders, then, why they can't get in. Locke doesn't know, but says, "The island will send us a sign."
A small airplane with black smoke coming from it, looks like it's going to crash. "Did you see that, Boone?" Boone is looking at the sky. Suddenly Boone is all bloody, then normal again. Locke sees his mother pointing to where the plane went.
Boone is covered in blood chanting, "Theresa falls up the stairs. Theresa falls down the stairs."
Locke is in his wheelchair. He screams, "No, no! Please!" Boone continues to chant. Locke says to the air, "Don't take it back!" Locke startles awake. He is on the beach. He checks to see if he has feeling in his legs. He gets up and wakes up Boone. "C'mon, let's go."
Locke's Flashback - The PI
Locke is in the break room of the store with a Private Investigator. "Emily Annabeth Locke," the PI says. The DNA samples match, she is Locke's mother. Locke asks about his father, but the PI doesn't want to tell him. Emily sought Locke out, so she's fair game, but his father might want nothing to do with him.Locke insists and the PI gives him a folder.
Locke drives to a gated estate and tells the guard that he's Anthony Cooper's son. "Mr. Cooper doesn't have a son," the guard says.
Locke says to tell him that he doesn't want anything and that his mother is Emily Locke. The guard gets on the phone and after a minute lets Locke in.
Locke meets his father. He seems happy to see Locke. He says that he didn't know Locke existed until a year after he was born. Emily wasn't going to have the baby, then she just disappeared. She turned up again later asking for money, saying that she put the baby up for adoption.
Anthony wants to know if Locke has a family of his own and Locke says no. "Me either. I tried it a couple of times, didn't take."
Anthony asks if Locke hunts, and when Locke says no, Anthony wonders if he's one of those "animal rights nut jobs." Locke says that he's not, and Anthony invites him to go hunting on Sunday.
Find That Plane
Locke tells Boone about seeing the plane in his dream. He says that they need to go find that plane. Boone thinks he's crazy and acts as if he won't go. "Who's Theresa?" Locke asks.Boone is stunned. Locke says, "Theresa falls up the stairs. Theresa falls down the stairs. You were saying that in the dream."
Boone wants to know how Locke knows about that and Locke says, "I don't know, Boone, but we're supposed to go to this place. We're supposed to find that plane. Will you come with me?" Boone nods.
Brain Tumor
Jack looks over the raft. Michael and Jin are making good progress because they learned so much building the first raft.Jin says something and Michael says, "Yeah, man, I know, now, now, now.
"You picking up on a little Korean there, Michael?" Jack asks.
"Yeah," Michael says, "I'm pretty sure I know how to say 'faster' and 'idiot'."
Jack sees Sawyer with a cloth on his forehead.
Jack notices that Sawyer is sensitive to light and asks him about it. Sawyer doesn't answer, but as Jack walks away he asks if sensitive to light is bad. He tells Jack that his uncle died from a brain tumor. Jack invites him back to the caves so he can run some tests, but Sawyer says, "Sorry, Doc, sounds fun, but my insurance ran out."
The Body in the Jungle
Locke and Boone walk through the jungle. Boone thinks maybe he mentioned Theresa one day at the hatch. Locke says, "Maybe, but you didn't."Locke stumbles and Boone asks if he's okay. When Locke gets up he sees a rosary behind Boone and grabs it. Boone says, "Someone from camp hiked all the way out here?"
"Nope," Locke says and pulls on a vine, which causes a body to fall on the ground. "Him," Locke says.
