Episode 5x9, Namaste
Still in handcuffs, Sayid is running through the jungle. A man says to stop and Sayid realizes that it's Jin. Jin asks where Sun is, but Sayid doesn't know.Radzinsky comes up behind Jin and so Jin acts like Sayid is a hostile. Radzinsky puts Sayid in the storage room and then Sayid is questioned by Sawyer who makes it known that he wants Sayid to confess to being a hostile, which Sayid does.
Sawyer takes Sayid to the Barracks where he locks him into a cell. A boy comes and gives Sayid a sandwich, and introduces himself as Ben.
Episode 5x10, He's Our You
Sawyer wants Sayid to say that he's a hostile who wants to give them intel in exchange for letting him live with them. Sayid won't go along with the plan, so he is taken to Oldham. Sayid asks Sawyer who Oldham is and Sawyer says, "He's our you."Oldham gives Sayid truth serum, but they don't seem to believe his story of being from the future.
Later, in his cell, Roger tells him that he's stupid for getting caught by the Dharma idiots. Sayid points out that Roger is mopping up after them. Ben comes in to bring Sayid food and Sayid sees how badly his father treats them.
Later, with taped together glasses, Ben comes in and lets Sayid out. They make a run for it, but are caught by Jin. Sayid knocks Jin out and then shoots Ben.
Episode 5x15, Follow the Leader
From the cover of the jungle, Sayid shoots Erik so that he doesn't shoot Kate. He comes out of hiding and Jack explains what's been going on. They swim under the rocks to the tunnels. Jack is surprised that he came and Sayid says that Jack is either going to save them or put them out of their misery.Sayid points out that Eloise is only helping them because she wants to annihilate the Dharma Initiative. Jack says he trusts her because in 30 years she is the one who tells them how to get back to the island.
Episode 5x16, The Incident
Jack, Sayid, Eloise, and Richard are in the cavern with Jughead. Sayid is reading Daniel's journal and says that he can take out the core of the bomb and only transport that part of it. Jack asks if it's enough, and Sayid says yes. Richard breaks out a wall that reveals entry into one of the Dharma houses. Eloise says that she will lead them though, but Richard knocks her out and tells Jack that he's protecting their leader and Jack and Sayid have to go on without them.Jack and Sayid go into the house and see that there is an alarm and people running around outside. Jack wonders how they will get out of the there and Sayid says they will hide in plain sight. Jack is already wearing a Dharma jump suit, and Sayid puts on Horace's suit that is hung over a chair. They walk outside and casually make their way to the tree line. Roger sees them and yells that Sayid is the one who shot his boy. Sayid tells him not to shoot, but Roger does anyway and hits Sayid in the abdomen. Jack gets Sayid behind a house and he shoots at the Dharma people. Hurley drives in with the Dharma bus and Jin opens the door. Jack and Sayid get in and they drive away.
Jack tries to stop the bleeding, but can't. They stop near the Swan and Sayid sets the bomb so that it will detonate on impact. Jack says that setting off the bomb is going to save Sayid and Sayid says there is nothing that can save him.
