Parka

Ben opens a locker and puts on a parka. "What's that for?" Locke asks.

"I'm going somewhere cold."

"Then where's mine?"

"You don't need one because you're not going with me." Ben walks and Locke follows.

"Yes, I am going with you!"

"No, John, you're not."

"Jacob told me what to do. You don't get to-"

"He told you what to do, but he didn't tell you how because he wants me to suffer the consequences."

"What consequences?"

"Whoever moves the island can never come back. So I'd like you to get on the elevator, John, and go back up. Richard and my people will be waiting two miles east of the Orchid."

"Waiting for me."

"Ready, willing, and able to share what they know, and then they will follow your every word. Goodbye, John." He extends his hand. "I'm sorry I made your life so miserable."

Locke looks at his hand, then shakes it. "What do I tell them to do?"

Ben picks up a crowbar and says, "You'll find your way, John, you always do."

Locke walks through the jungle until he gets to Richard and his people. They all stop and look at up at him as he stands on a small cliff.

"Hello, John," Richard says. "Welcome home."

Locke almost smiles.

Inside the Orchid, Ben goes into the vault and through a hole that was blown into the wall. He goes through a tunnel and down a ladder. He breaks glass below him and then goes through, continuing on a now icy ladder. The ladder breaks and he falls, the crowbar putting a gash in his arm. He lights the lantern and looks around.

The walls and floor are covered in ice. Ben walks to a big winch and looks upwards and says, "I hope you're happy now, Jacob." He tries to turn the winch, but it won't budge. He uses the crowbar to break apart some ice, then tries to turn it with the crowbar. He throws the crowbar down and pushes the winch with all of his strength. As it begins to turn, a loud noise is heard, like the one heard when Desmond turned the key in the hatch.

The people on the beach hear it, the people on the raft hear it, and the people on the helicopter hear it. Light and gas peek out from behind the winch and there is a bright light over the island. In the helicopter they shield their eyes from the light and when it goes away, the island is gone.

"Where's the island?" Frank yells.

"It's gone," Hurley says.

"Where the hell am I going to land this thing?" Frank says.

Jack says, "There's another island close by they took us to."

"I got news for you, doc, there's nothing but water in every direction," Frank says. There is a beeping and Frank says, "Doesn't matter now. That's it, people, we're out of fuel." The helicopter blades slow and Frank says, "Get your life vests on, we're going in."

They crash in the water.

Jack is under water. He swims to the top. He hears Frank yell for Sayid and then Desmond. He sees Hurley in the raft and Kate gives him the baby.

Frank sees Desmond floating face down. He yells for Jack to help him and they drag Desmond onto the raft.

They all get into the life raft and Jack gives Desmond CPR. Desmond comes to.

"It's okay, it's okay," Jack says. "We're alive."

Claire

It's nighttime and Kate wakes in her bed. She turns on the light and looks down the hall. The phone rings and she jumps. "Hello? Hello, who's there?"

The person on the phone talks backwards. Kate hears a door squeak and jumps out of bed and gets a gun out of a box. She runs to Aaron's room and goes in. She points the gun at the person with Aaron and says, "Don't move. Don't you touch my son!"

Claire turns to face her and Kate is terrified.

"Don't bring him back, Kate," Claire says. "Don't you dare bring him back!"

Kate bolts awake and goes to Aaron's room. He's sleeping. She kneels beside him and puts her hand over his. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry."

Penny's Boat

It's nighttime as they float in the life raft. Hurley asks Kate if Aaron is okay.

"He's fine. It's a miracle."

"I can't believe he did it," Hurley says.

"Who did what?" Kate asks.

"Locke. He moved the island."

"No he didn't," Jack says.

"Oh really? Because one minute it was there and the next it was gone. So, unless we, like, overlooked it, dude, then that's exactly what he did. But, if you've got another explanation, man, I'd love to hear it."

Frank sees a boat. "God almighty. There's a boat. There's a boat out there!"

They yell for the boat and it comes toward them.

"We're going to have to lie," Jack says.

"What?" Kate says.

"We're going to have to lie."

"Lie about what?"

"Everything, all of it. Everything since we crashed on the island."

"Jack, now I know I'm new to the group and everything, but isn't this the part where everyone starts jumping up and down and hugging each other?" Frank says.

"Your freighter, those men came to the island to kill us, all of us. You said that our plane was found on the bottom of the ocean, well someone put it there. Someone who wants everyone to think that we're dead. So what do you think is going to happen to us when we tell them that that wasn't our plane. What do you think is going to happen to the people that we left behind?"

"Jack, we can't. We can't pull it off," Kate says.

"Just let me do the talking," he says.

As the boat gets closer, they hear people talking in a foreign language. Desmond hears one of them say, "Mrs. Widmore," then he sees her.

"Penny?" He climbs aboard. She runs down to meet him. They embrace and kiss.

"You're okay."

"Penny, how did you find me?"

"Your phone call. I have a tracking station."

"I love you, Penny, and I'll never leave you again."

They kiss again.

The other survivors come aboard and Desmond introduces Penny to everyone.

Jack says they need to talk.
