She takes the statue from him. "Jesus Christ is not a weapon. Okay, enjoy your party."
During Hurley's Hawaiian themed party, Hurley walks up to Kate and Aaron. "Happy birthday, Hurley," she says.
"Hey, Kate." He looks at Aaron. "Hey little buddy."
"Say, hi," Kate says to Aaron, then to Hurley, "Jack's running late, sorry."
"Happy birthday, Hugo!"
Hurley turns around to see Nadia and Sayid. Sayid says, "Interesting choice of theme."
"Yeah, Mom doesn't really get it, dude."
David comes over and says, "Hey, how's everybody doing?" He laughs. "What are you talking about, building a fire, or hunting boars?"
Sayid and Nadia just look at him.
"Uh, I guess not," David says. "Hey listen, would you mind excusing us for a little while?" He looks at Hurley. "I want to show you your birthday present."
Outside, Hurley says, "I told you I didn't want anything."
"Hugo, it's your birthday. You've got to get something."
"Not with the money. I don't want anything from the money."
"Relax. I got this before you gave us the money." He opens the garage door and says, "Ta-da." In the garage is the Camaro. "Check it out."
"You fixed it."
"Yeah, after the crash I worked on it as a memorial to you. When I was fixing it up it was almost like I was with you. But now you're back and it's all yours." He reaches in his pocket and pulls out the keys. "Want to take it for a little spin?"
Hurley smiles and takes the keys and gets into the driver's seat. David gets into the passenger seat. Hurley puts the key in the ignition, but then sees that the odometer reading is the numbers.
"Is something wrong, son?"
"Is this some kind of joke?"
"What are you talking about?"
"Four, eight, 15, 16, 23, 42, did you do this?"
"Do what?"
"Those are the numbers! Right there! The numbers I won the lottery with!"
"Wow, what a coincidence."
"No, not a coincidence! I don't want this!" He opens the door and gets out. "I don't want any of this!" He runs down the street.
Get Down Lower to the Ground
Hurley, Ben, and Locke continue to walk through the jungle.Hurley says, “Okay, let’s say this greenhouse place does what you say. And yeah, I get it, it’s really dangerous and unpredictable. But suppose, somehow, it works, and we move the island. Doesn’t that mean the dudes with guns move too?”
“Yes, I suppose they would,” Ben says.
“Well isn’t that, you know, a problem?” Hurley asks.
“I’m working on it,” Ben says.
“Well, what about me? I still want to get off it!” Hurley says.
“I’m afraid it’s a little too late for that, Hugo,” Locke says.
Ben stops and crouches down. “May I have the binoculars please?” Ben says. “You might want to get down lower to the ground.”
“And why might we want to do that?” Locke asks.
“Because we’re at the Orchid,” Ben says.
Locke gets down. He hands Ben the binoculars, then loads his gun. "What are we waiting for?"
"We're waiting, John, because Charles Widmore, the man who is trying to capture me and kill all the rest of you, knows about this place and knows that what we need is inside."
"I thought you said you had no idea why he was trying to find the island."
"I wasn't being entirely truthful."
Locke and Hurley look at each other and Locke says, "Yeah, when are you ever entirely truthful?"
Ben looks through the binoculars and then hands them to Locke. "You need to see this."
Locke peers through the binoculars and says, "What am I looking for?"
"Look over there on the left-hand side. Watch the plants at the back."
"I don't see any-" Locke sees a man in camo.
"They're already here," Ben says.
The Freighter
Those in the raft approach the freighter. Daniel yells that they are back. Desmond runs over to the side of the freighter.Desmond helps people climb aboard. "Where's Sayid?"
"He had to go after Jack," Daniel says. "They're headed for the chopper."
Daniel says he's going to head back for the next group and takes off.
Michael tells Desmond that the engine is fixed and to tell Hendricks to try it.
Sun and Jin turn around and stare at Michael.
Desmond runs over to Hendricks and says the engines should be working now. Hendricks starts the engine. "Indeed they are," Hendricks says.
"Great. Take us to the island," Desmond says. "But make sure you stay on a bearing of 305. It's got to be exactly 305."
Hendricks sets the bearings. The depth scanner shows static. Hendricks says, "We've got some kind of RF interference. I can't see the reef, mate."
"RF interference? But how is that possible the radio room is down?"
"I don't know, but something on this boat is broadcasting. If we don't turn it off, I'm not going any closer than five miles off the coast."
"Then I'll find it." Desmond runs out.
The Yahoo
Sawyer follows Jack through the jungle and says, "You cut yourself shaving?""Juliet took out my appendix a couple of days ago."
"You're kidding me."
"No."
"Well what else did I miss?"
They hear banging and see the helicopter.
"We're here," Jack says. Jack points for Sawyer to go one way and he goes another.
"Lapidus," Jack yells.
Frank moves a box to reveal that he is laying in the helicopter with his wrist handcuffed to the seat. "Yeah!"
"You know this Yahoo?" Sawyer says.
"Yahoo? This Yahoo dropped that phone on you guys so you could find me and I could fly you out of here. So why don't you do me a favor and get in that back compartment. There's a toolbox. See if you can find something to get me out of these things."
Sawyer looks at Jack and Jack says, "You heard the man."
"Well alright," Sawyer says, "can I get you boys a nice cold glass of lemonade while I'm back there?"
"Where are Desmond and Sayid?" Jack asks.
"Your buddies were smart enough to keep their asses on the boat, because right now, that's the safest place to be."
Sawyer brings a toolbox over.
