Episode 4x1, The Beginning of the End
Jack and Kate realize that Naomi is missing and Kate goes to find the trail. By the time she comes back, Jack says that Rousseau has already found the trail. Kate thinks they should follow both in case one is a dummy trail, but Jack disagrees. Kate agrees to take everyone back to the beach. She hugs Jack and steals the satellite phone from him. She follows Naomi's trail.The phone rings and Kate answers it, saying that Naomi is not there right now, but Naomi jumps out of a tree on top of her and holds a knife to her throat. Kate convinces Naomi that it wasn't her people who tried to kill Naomi, it was John Locke.
The phone rings again and Naomi answers it, covering for Locke, saying that she is injured from hitting a tree branch when she parachuted in. She changes the frequency so that the freighter can get a lock on their position, and then she dies.
Kate meets up with everyone else and tells them that Naomi is dead. She stays with Jack's group when some decide to go with Locke.
A man parachutes in from a helicopter and Kate and Jack run to him. He takes off his helmet and says, "Are you Jack?"
Episode 4x2, Confirmed Dead
Kate and Jack give Daniel Naomi's phone and he calls the freighter. They get a signal from another member of Daniel's team and go to him. Miles trains a gun on Jack and tells Kate to take him to Naomi's body.At Naomi's body, Sayid and Juliet show up with guns and get control of Miles' and Daniel's guns. They all go to the pilot and helicopter, where Kate helps Daniel brings Naomi's body.
Episode 4x3, The Economist
Kate goes with Sayid and Miles to get Charlotte from Locke. She is captured by Sawyer and they hang out in Ben's bedroom. Sawyer wants to stay on the island with her.Episode 4x4, Eggtown
Kate wants to know what the freighter people know about her and makes a deal with Miles that if he can talk to Ben for one minute, he will tell her what he knows about her. Kate sneaks Miles in to see Ben and listens while Miles asks for 3.2 million dollars in order to tell his boss that Ben is dead.Outside the room, Miles tells Kate that he knows she's a fugitive.
As they leave, Locke comes in and tells Kate to go back to her house. He later goes to her house and tells her that she's not welcome there anymore and to be gone by morning.
Kate goes to Sawyer and spends the night with him. She tells him that she's not pregnant. They get into a fight and Sawyer says she'll bounce back to him when she finds a reason to be mad at Jack. She slaps Sawyer.
Episode 4x6, The Other Woman
On her way back to the beach, Kate stumbles upon Daniel and Charlotte. She's suspicious of them and starts asking questions. Charlotte knocks her out. When Jack and Juliet come along, Jack tends to her while Juliet slips away.Episode 4x7, Ji Yeon
Kate makes a map for Sun and Jin and explains how to get to Locke's camp. She says she's going to have to tell Jack, but she'll give them a nice long head start first.Episode 4x9, The Shape of Things to Come
Kate wonders what Jack is taking and says he looks terrible. She helps to pull Ray's body out of the ocean and is excited that Daniel is able to send Morse code over the sat phone.Episode 4x10, Something Nice Back Home
Juliet asks Kate to hold a mirror during Jack's surgery. Kate is upset because Jack wants to stay conscious, but Juliet wants to put him out. Juliet kicks her out of the operating tent.Bernard gets her after the surgery and tells her she can go in. Inside, Juliet says that Jack is going to be fine. Juliet says that Jack kissed her a few days earlier, but she thought it was to prove to himself that he didn't love someone else. Kate thanks her for saving Jack's life and walks out.
Episode 4x12, There's No Place Like Home Part 1
Kate goes with Jack in search of the helicopter. They come upon Sawyer with Aaron, and Kate asks where Claire is. Sawyer says that she's lost. Jack tells Kate to take the baby back to the beach and Sawyer goes with Jack.At the beach, Kate finds Sayid and convinces him to let her go with him to find Jack and Sawyer so that they will be faster.
Richard Alpert and his people find them and Kate and Sayid go with Richard.
Episode 4x13, There's No Place Like Home Part 2
In exchange for letting them leave the island, Kate and Sayid help Richard free Ben from Keamy.Kate leaves the island on the helicopter and they barely make it to the freighter because of a gas leak. Desmond tells them there is a bomb on the freighter, so they hurry to get off of it. Sun goes after Jin and Kate stops her and tells her to get Aaron on the helicopter and Kate will go after Jin. Jack says there is no time, and drags Kate onto the helicopter.
From the air, they see the freighter explode.
They see a bright light and when it's gone, so is the island. They have nowhere to land and when they run out of fuel they crash into the water. They all make it onto a life raft and are saved by Penny's boat.
Jack tells them they have to lie about what happened to them.
