Episode 3x14, Expose
Sawyer acts suspiciously, looking around after Nikki came stumbling over and fell in the sand. He goes with Hurley and Jin to try and find Paulo.Sawyer finds the diamonds, but gives them to Sun when they accuse him of killing Nikki and Paulo.
Sun slaps Sawyer after she finds out that it was his idea to kidnap her.
Episode 3x15, Left Behind
Hurley makes Sawyer believe that the survivors are going to vote on whether or not to banish Sawyer from their camp. Sawyer says he can fend for himself, but after failing to gut a fish, he asks for Hurley's help.Hurley has Sawyer take a blanket to Claire and say something nice about the baby. The best Sawyer can come up with is that the baby is not as wrinkly as it used to be.
Then Sawyer gets up early to go boar hunting with Desmond. Desmond shoots a boar and Sawyer prepares a feast.
Sawyer finds out there was never a vote planned and confronts Hurley who tells him that Sawyer is their temporary leader.
Episode 3x16, One of Us
Sawyer is relieved and happy that Kate has returned to the beach.When Juliet goes after a medical case, he and Sayid follow her and confront her, but she throws it back in their faces, bringing up some of what they had done.
Episode 3x17, Catch 22
Sawyer goes to Kate's shelter and finds her half naked. He wants to know if she'd told Jack about the two of them getting together. Kate says no, but that he knows, thanks to the surveillance cameras.Sawyer wants to know if she wants some afternoon delight, but she walks away.
Later, Kate surprises Sawyer by coming into his tent and seducing him.
The next day, Sawyer plays ping pong with Jack and figures out that Kate came to him the night before because she was upset about Jack being with Juliet. He confronts her about it and she denies it.
Episode 3x19, The Brig
Locke finds Sawyer and takes him to the Black Rock where he locks Sawyer in the brig with Anthony Cooper, who is chained. Sawyer figures out that Anthony is the original Sawyer who conned his parents and he makes him read the letter that Sawyer had written when he was a kid, shortly after his father killed his mother and then himself.Anthony rips the letter up and Sawyer chokes him to death.
Episode 3x20, The Man Behind the Curtain
Sawyer hides in the bushes and when Sayid walks by, shows him the tape. Later, he plays the tape for the group. Juliet asks him to turn it over and on the other side is a recording from Ben saying they won't have time to check the samples and to mark the tents of anyone who is pregnant.Episode 3x21, Greatest Hits
Karl comes on shore and Sayid attacks him. Sawyer stops Sayid and says that he knows Karl. Karl tells them that the Others are on their way and will be there shortly.Episode 3x22, Through the Looking Glass
Sawyer is distant to Kate. He goes with Jack and the group on the hike to the radio tower. He says he is going back to the beach, but Jack doesn't want him to go alone. Kate says that she will go, but he doesn't want her to go.Juliet volunteers, saying she knows where some guns are hidden. Juliet and Sawyer walk through the jungle and he asks how long before they reach the guns. She says there are no guns. She lied so that Jack would let them go.
Hurley catches up to them saying that he wants to come with them, but Sawyer says no.
They reach the beach camp and see that the Others are down to three guys and four guns. Juliet points out that they have two people and no guns. They wonder what they should do and suddenly Hurley comes flying out of the jungle in the Dharma bus. He runs over Ryan. Sayid trips Jason and breaks his neck, and Juliet secures Tom.
Tom surrenders, but Sawyer shoots him. "That's for taking the kid off the raft," Sawyer says.
