Episode 3x1, A Tale of Two Cities

Kate wakes to find herself in a shower area. Tom tells her to take a shower. After her shower, she can't find her clothes, but finds a dress they've left for her. Tom takes her to the beach where Ben sits having breakfast.

Ben asks her to put handcuffs on. She asks where Sawyer and Jack are and Ben is intrigued that she put Sawyer first.

Later, Tom takes Kate to the cage opposite Sawyer's. Sawyer throws her some food.

Episode 3x4, Every Man For Himself

When Pickett begins to beat Sawyer he asks Kate if she loves him and she finally confesses that she does, but then tells Sawyer that she'd only said that so he would stop beating Sawyer. Kate tries to escape against Sawyer's wishes. She gets out of her cage and he tells her to run, but she won't leave without him and gets back into her cage.

Episode 3x6, I Do

Pickett opens the cage and tells Kate that it's time to work, but she won't go without Sawyer, so Pickett takes Sawyer too. While they are working there is a compound breech, and Alex comes out with a sling shot. She tells Pickett that she wants to talk to Ben, but is grabbed from behind and carried off. As they are taking her away she yells to Kate not to listen to them because they will kill her boyfriend the same way they killed Alex's.

Juliet takes Kate in to see Jack and Kate begs him to do the surgery so that Pickett won't kill Sawyer. When she's returned to the cage, she tells Sawyer that she saw Jack. They get into an argument, because Kate told Jack to do the surgery. Kate climbs out of her cage and in with Sawyer. They fight, then make love.

Kate and Sawyer lie in Sawyer's cage, barely covered.

Pickett has Sawyer out of his cage, on his knees, with the gun at his head. He is just about to shoot when he gets the message from Tom.

Kate talks to Jack over the walkie-talkie. He tells her to run, but she wants to know where he is.

Episode 3x7, Not in Portland

Kate and Sawyer escape from the cages, but are pursued by Pickett, Jason, and another man. Alex helps them to hide from the men, but in exchange she wants them to help her free Karl. They find Karl, and Alex takes them to a boat.

Pickett finds them and moves to shoot Sawyer. Kate runs to Sawyer. Before Pickett can shoot, Juliet shoots Pickett.

Kate has an emotional talk with Jack over the walkie-talkie while Sawyer watches.

Episode 3x9, Stranger in a Strange Land

Kate and Sawyer row toward the main island, but Kate wants to go back and get Jack. Sawyer points out that Jack asked them not to go back. Karl says that Ben will kill them if they go back.

As they near the shoreline, Kate asks what Sawyer is doing. Sawyer plans to go ashore and make camp, but Kate wants to follow the shoreline around to their main camp and get a rescue party together. Sawyer says he can't steer in the dark and they are making camp there.

Kate and Sawyer fight and Karl tells them they shouldn't fight, they should be happy to be alive.

In the morning, Kate wakes up and realizes Karl is gone. She wakes Sawyer and they look for him, finding him sobbing in the jungle. Kate wants to talk to him, but Sawyer won't let her. When Sawyer comes back he says he let Karl go. Kate is mad because Karl could have led them to where the Others live, but Sawyer says Karl was a target.

Sawyer accuses Kate of feeling guilty that they hooked up, but Kate denies it. Kate says that Sawyer is bossing her around.

Episode 3x10, Tricia Tanaka is Dead

Kate and Sawyer continue their trek back to the main camp. Kate says that all Sawyer has to do is apologize and they can start over with a clean slate. Sawyer says he has nothing to apologize for.

They make it back to camp and Kate goes off on a mission to get Jack. She finds Rousseau, and Sayid and Locke find Kate. Kate asks Rousseau to help her find the Others' camp.

Episode 3x11, Enter 77

Kate, Sayid, Locke, and Rousseau go in search of the Others' camp. They find a farm and a guy wearing an eye patch. Sayid goes to talk to him, but the man shoots Sayid in the arm. The man acts as if Sayid is one of the Others. Sayid explains who he is, and the man lets him, Sayid, and Kate inside. Rousseau doesn't want any part of it.

Inside his large home, the man introduces himself as Mikhail Bakunin and says he is the last survivor of the Dharma Initiative.

Kate looks around and finds a refrigerator full of meat carcasses. When she is able to talk to Sayid alone she says that his story doesn't make sense. Sayid says that he is not alone and that he is not with Dharma, he is with the Others.

They capture Mikhail and go below to explore The Flame Station. Kate is attacked, but Sayid helps her. Kate sees that her attacker is Ms. Klugh and she punches her. They take her outside, where they see that Mikhail has taken Locke hostage.

Mikhail shoots Ms. Klugh and Sayid gets control of Mikhail. Kate looks around inside and gathers some flashlights, then they prepare to leave.

Episode 3x12, Par Avion

Kate continues with Sayid, Locke, and Rousseau with Mikhail in tow to look for the Others' camp. They come upon a security system, and Locke pushes Mikhail into it, and they believe it has killed him. Kate suggests that they climb over it, so they cut down a tree. She goes first and safely makes it over.

From the cover of jungle they see where the Others live. Jack runs in their direction and Kate starts to go to him, but Sayid stops her. Jack runs as hard as he can, then turns and catches a football. He then throws the football to Tom.
