Episode 3x2, The Glass Ballerina
Jin wants to take the sailboat back to the main beach, but Sayid wants to stay. Sun agrees with Sayid and she and Jin argue.They end up following Sayid's plan and go ashore to build a huge fire. Sayid asks Sun to lie to Jin about the fire being for the Others. Jin tells Sun that he understands more English than she thinks he does and that he knows she betrayed him.
They send Sun back to the boat while they wait for the Others. They hear gunshots on the boat and Jin jumps in the water, swimming after the boat as it drives away. He yells several times, and then Sun answers. They swim to each other and hug.
Jin tells Sun that he doesn't know what he would do without her.
Episode 3x10, Tricia Tanaka is Dead
Sun tells Jin that she will only speak to him in English because that is how he will learn. Jin doesn't seem too excited about this, but over Dharma beer begins to learn English from Sawyer.Hurley wants Jin to fix the engine of a Dharma bus he found in the jungle, but Jin can't fix it. Hurley and Charlie get into the bus, and Jin and Sawyer push the bus so that it rolls down a steep hill. Hurley pops the clutch and the engine roars to life.
Episode 3x12, Par Avion
Jin helps Claire build a trap to catch a bird so that she can attach a message to it and set it free. Just as they are about to catch a bird, Desmond fires his gun and scares the birds away.Episode 3x17, Catch 22
Jin goes with Hurley, Charlie, and Desmond on a trek across the island, where they find a woman hanging from parachute gear.Episode 3x18, D.O.C.
Mikhail shows up where they'd found parachute girl and then he takes off. Jin runs after him and catches him, then they fight. Jin gets him in a choke hold and then Desmond asks who he is.Desmond insists that they let Mikhail go if he helps parachute girl, but Charlie is against letting him go and Jin seems to be too. Jin realizes that Mikhail took the phone and goes after him again. He gets the phone back and Desmond lets Mikhail go.
Episode 3x19, The Brig

Jin wants to know what they had been talking about when he heard Juliet say "Kwon" on the tape and then everyone looked at Sun. Sun tells him that she saw their baby and it's healthy.Episode 3x22, Through the Looking Glass
When the Others come to take the pregnant women, Sayid shoots the dynamite on the first tent. Bernard shoots the dynamite by the second tent. Jin shoots the dynamite by the third tent, but it doesn't explode. He tries several times, but then the Others who are left see what is going on.Sayid, Bernard, and Jin are captured by Tom, Ryan, and Jason. They threaten to kill Jin if they won't tell him where the rest of their group went. Jin tells Bernard not to say anything, but Bernard tells them where Jack and the group went.
Hurley drives the Dharma bus in, running over Ryan. Sayid trips Jason and breaks his neck, and Sawyer shoots Tom.
Hurley tells Jack that Sayid, Bernard, and Jin are okay.
