Episode 3x13, The Man From Tallahassee
Jack seems to be very close with both Ben and Juliet. Kate finds him alone in a room playing the piano. He tells her to leave, that they are watching him, but she and Sayid are captured. Jack asks them not to hurt her.Later, Jack goes to talk to Kate and tells her that he wishes she hadn't come back for him. He is leaving in the morning to go home, but he will come back for her.
Jack and Juliet prepare to leave on the submarine, but before they can board, Locke blows it up.
Episode 3x15, Left Behind
Kate wakes Jack after he is gassed and left in the house. Jack wants to know what happened and Kate says that everyone has left. Jack wants to know if that includes Juliet. Kate says that they left Juliet behind. Kate apologizes for coming back for Jack when he had told her not to.Episode 3x16, One of Us
Jack brings Juliet back with him to the beach, but the other survivors don't want her there. When Claire gets sick, Juliet says she can help her and Jack lets her inject Claire with medicine.Episode 3x17, Catch 22
Jack talks to Kate while he prepares oatmeal for himself and Juliet. The next day he plays ping pong with Sawyer.Episode 3x18, D.O.C.
Jack talks to Sun about her pregnancy. He wants to know how she's feeling, if she's had morning sickness and if she's had any bleeding. Sun wonders why he's asking all the questions and he says it's just because he's back and he wants to make sure she's okay.Episode 3x19, The Brig
Jack asks Charlie what they did when they were out camping, and after Charlie tells him it was male bonding, Jack says he wants to go with them the next time.Jack hangs out with Juliet, and Kate comes over and wants to talk privately with him, but he says that whatever she needs to say she can say in front of Juliet.
Kate says that because of Juliet no one trusts him and no one wants to tell him about the girl in Hurley's tent who may be able to communicate with a ship.
Jack wants to know how she can communicate and Kate tries to make him understand that people don't trust him.
Juliet says that they should tell Kate, but Jack says no and walks off.
Episode 3x20, The Man Behind the Curtain
Jack returns with the Juliet as Sawyer plays Juliet's recording for the group. Jack wants to know where Sawyer got it, but the rest of the group wants to know what Jack has been doing.Juliet tells them to turn the tape over and says that Jack had known what the Others were making her do since she told him after seeing Sun's baby on the ultrasound.
Episode 3x21, Greatest Hits
Jack takes a group of people out to an open meadow and tells them his plan to blow up the Others when they come for the pregnant women.Later, Sayid tells Jack his plan to swim into The Looking Glass station to flip a switch to turn off the signal that is blocking Sayid's signal on Naomi's phone. Jack says that he doesn't want anyone going on a suicide mission and Charlie volunteers, but Jack says no. When they find out that the Others are coming a night early and they are not ready, Jack agrees to let Charlie go.
Jack plans to stay at camp with two other shooters and send everyone else to the radio tower, but Sayid says that Jack needs to be a leader and take the group to the radio tower and Sayid will stay with the shooters.
Episode 3x22, Through the Looking Glass
Jack leads most of the survivors on a hike to the radio tower. They are concerned when they only hear two explosions from the beach, but Jack says that it's okay and they should keep moving.Jack doesn't want anyone to go back and check on Sayid, Bernard, and Jin on the beach, but finally lets Juliet and Sawyer go when Juliet says she knows where some guns are hidden. Juliet kisses him before she leaves.
Jack takes a moment to talk to Kate and tell her that Sawyer is trying to protect her. She wants to know why he's telling her this and he says because he loves her.
They come over a rise and see Ben and Alex waiting for them. Jack agrees to talk to Ben for five minutes. Ben tells him that Naomi is not who she claims to be and that he needs to get the satellite phone and give it to Ben, or Sayid, Bernard, and Jin will die. Jack doesn't give in and hears three shots over the walkie-talkie.
Jack beats Ben and makes him come with them to the radio tower.
As they come to the radio tower, the satellite phone starts working. They turn off Rousseau's message and Naomi begins to dial. Ben tells Jack that it's a mistake.
Before Naomi gets anyone, Locke throws a knife in her back. Jack picks up the phone and Locke tells him to put it down or he will shoot him. Locke can't shoot Jack and when someone answers the phone, Jack tells him they are survivors of Flight 815.
