As creepy and shocking as it can be, Lost can also be very funny. Here's a countdown of the funniest moments from season 1.

14. Geezer with the 400 Knives
Claire worries that Locke, their only hunter, went to find her more water and Charlie says, "Who would you rather meet in a dark alley, whatever is out there or that geezer with his 400 knives? I mean who packs 400 knives? Personally I can only have space for 200...300 at most."

12. Charlie's Take on Locke
Jack asks Charlie what he thinks of Locke and Charlie says, "Locke? The guy's a freak of nature. Highly disturbed. Chances are he probably killed all his mates at the post office the day his mum forgot to put a cookie in his lunch tin. That was my first impression, anyway."
11. Jack's Take on Sawyer
When Sawyer begins getting chronic headaches, Kate begs Jack to examine him. Jacks says, "Look, Kate, I'd like nothing more than to check the guy out and make sure he's okay, but we both know all I'm going to get for my trouble is a snappy one liner, and if I'm real lucky, a brand new nickname."
10. Sawyer's Soothing Voice
Watching the baby for Claire, Charlie tries to get him to stop crying. He and Hurley try singing, but nothing works until Sawyer talks. Charlie follows Sawyer around and tells him to keep talking so that the baby will quit crying. Sawyer reads to the baby from a car magazine.
9. Hurley's Friggin' Answers

Hurley says, "Okay, that thing in the woods, maybe it's a monster, maybe it's a pissed off giraffe, I don't know. The fact that no one is even looking for us, yeah, that's weird, but I just go along with it because I'm along for the ride. Good old fun time Hurley. Well guess what? Now, I want some friggin' answers." Rousseau agrees with him that the numbers are cursed and he hugs her.
8. Golf Course
Hurley finds clubs and builds a golf course. Michael can't believe that he'd been spending his time on a golf course and Hurley says, "Dudes, listen, our lives suck. Everyone's nerves are stretched to the max. I mean, we're lost on an island, running from boars, monsters -- freakin' polar bears!"
