- Tattoo was the name of the sidekick who ran up the main bell tower to ring the bell and shout "The plane! The plane!" on the long running series Fantasy Island.
- Short Round: Walt wants to know why Sawyer isn't helping build the raft. "I'm helping, Short Round, I'm keeping watch for arsonists." (Ep: 1x18, Numbers)
- Short Round was what Indiana Jones called his kid sidekick in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
- Gazoo: Walt thinks it's wrong that Sawyer reads the messages in the bottle. "It's alright, Gazoo, we've got to keep ourselves entertained." Episode 1x24, Exodus Part 2
- The Great Gazoo was an alien on the cartoon The Flintstones, produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions.
