- Mickey is a common nickname for Michael.
- Hoss: Michael doesn't think the gun will work after Sawyer had been in the ocean. "What do you know about guns, anyway, Hoss." Episode 2x2, Adrift
- Hoss was a character in Bonanza , a television series on NBC from 1959 to 1973.
