Episode: Clip Show
Synopsis: (From ABC Television Network) Are you a person of faith or science? This is the dilemma that plagues the island survivors and also defines their character.
Discover how faith in the hatch led Locke on a mission to find a way inside, and how his discovery of Desmond led to his belief that punching in the numbers every 108 minutes would ensure everyone's survival.
In addition, Michael's dogged mission in finding Walt, the Tailies fight for survival during their first 48 days through their collision with the fuselage survivors, the uncertainty of prisoner Henry Gale's allegiances, and tensions between the survivors and the Others have left everyone questioning what they believe in.
Additionally, the healing powers of love are explored through a timid Hurley's struggle with asking Libby out on a date, through the strong bond between Sun and Jin, and through Jack and Sawyer's mutual - yet unrequited - attractions to Kate.
What to look for: This is a clip show meant to catch people up who may not have seen every episode. For those of us who have seen them all, it won't be anything new, though you may catch something that you didn't see the first time around. It's important, though, to see what they show, because the producers are going to show clips that are important to the last four episodes of season two.
Bonnie's thoughts: For most shows I don't care for the clip show, but for Lost it's important to watch the clip shows for two reasons. You may catch something you hadn't seen the first time, and what they choose to show during that hour is important to the last few episodes. They want to make sure that we know certain things so that the last four episodes will make sense. Watching the clip show will give you a hint about what is coming in the last month of season two.
Also, the clip show will give us something to watch while we're awaiting the highly anticipated last month of new shows. Damon Lindelof described the last few episodes as being the calm before the storm. Now that that's over with, we're going to get the storm. Should be a bumpy and exciting ride!
