Desmond tells his son Charlie about Great Britain and Scotland. Desmond goes to Oxford, but there is no record of a Faraday ever working for the University. Desmond finds Daniel's lab with a note on it that says not to enter because it's being fumigated. He goes inside and finds Daniel's things covered up. He finds a picture of Daniel with a woman.
The custodian comes in and tells Desmond not to touch anything. He says that Desmond is not the first person to come around asking about Daniel. Desmond asks why there is no record of Daniel at the University and the custodian says you can't blame them for not having a record of him after what he did to that woman.
Daniel goes to Theresa Spencer's house and says that Daniel Faraday sent him. Theresa's sister, Abigail, lets Desmond in. Theresa is in a vegetative state. Abigail says she's like that as a result of Daniel's experiments and that Charles Widmore has been taking care of her medical bills.
Desmond goes to see Charles Widmore and gets the L.A. address for Daniel's mother.
Penny knows he's lying when he tells her that Daniel's mother is dead. He says she's in L.A. and Penny says that she and Charlie will go with him to L.A.
