Sun tells Jin that she will only speak to him in English, because that's how he will learn.
Hurley finds a Dharma bus in the jungle and tries to get people to help him fix it, but no one, except Jin, goes with him. They find the skeleton of a man named Roger inside, along with a bunch of beer.
Sawyer finds them and Hurley is happy to see him. Seeing Sawyer and working with the car makes Hurley feel like there is hope. Sawyer helps them right the vehicle.
Hurley tries to start the bus, but it doesn't start. He's about to give up, but Sawyer, who is drinking beer with Jin and teaching Jin to speak English, says his hope is right here and throws Hurley a beer. The beer rolls down a hill, which gives Hurley an idea.
Hurley gets Charlie and says that they need to look death in the face. They will either conquer death or die.
Hurley convinces Sawyer and Jin to push the bus down a hill so that Hurley can pop the clutch to get the vehicle started. Charlie goes with him.
They almost crash into the rocks, but at the last second, Hurley pops the clutch and the bus starts. Sawyer and Jin run down the hill and get into the bus. The four celebrate and drive in circles.
