After knowing each other for five months, Bernard asks Rose to marry him. She says that she is dying. She's been in remission for a couple of years, but now it's back and this time it's not going away. She has about a year to live.
For their honeymoon, Bernard takes Rose to a little village in the Australian Outback to a faith healer. Rose is upset because she's made her peace with her situation, but Bernard asks her to do it for him. Rose meets with the healer, Isaac of Uluru, who tries to heal her but can't. He says there are different energies in different places and this isn't the place for her. He offers to give her the deposit back, but she declines and tells him that she is going to tell Bernard that he healed her.
At the airport, Rose sits alone and drops one of her pill bottles. Locke comes along in his wheelchair and picks it up and gives it to her.
