Bernard gets a bunch of people together to build an S.O.S. sign in the sand, but he doesn't treat people very nicely and before too long he is doing the work by himself. He doesn't understand why Rose isn't helping him. She tells him that the faith healer didn't cure her, but that the island has and she doesn't want to leave. He stops building the sign and says they will never leave.
Locke tries to recreate the diagram he saw on the blast door. He tries several times, but gets very frustrated. He asks non-Henry if he really entered the numbers during the lockdown. Non-Henry doesn't answer and Locke gets angry. He goes out and sits on the beach. Rose renews his faith in the island and he goes back to the hatch and draws a diagram that he's happy with.
