Jack gave Boone a bunch of his blood and then didn't sleep because he wants to go after Locke. Without his knowledge, Kate gives Jack sleeping pills to force him to sleep.
Meanwhile, Shannon asks Sayid to do something about Locke killing her brother. Sayid gets Locke to take him to the plane. Locke tells him that he was the one who hit Sayid to keep him from finding the location of the distress signal, because he was afraid finding it would kill them.
Shannon steals the key to the gun case from around Jack's neck while he sleeps and pulls a gun on Locke. Sayid tackles her and the bullet only grazes Locke's forehead.
