Hurley tells Jack that Ethan was not on the manifest and Jack takes off after Claire and Charlie. Locke determines that Ethan had dragged them off and he Jack, Kate, and Boone begin a search for them. They split off into two groups. Jack sees Ethan and he beats Jack, warning him to stop following. Jack and Kate find Charlie strung to a tree and cut him down. Jack performs CPR and saves Charlie's life.
Meanwhile, Locke and Boone find something metal in the jungle.
