Sawyer has a letter from a boy who writes that Sawyer's con caused his father to shoot his mother and then himself.
Shannon has an asthma attack and Sayid tortures Sawyer to try to get her meds. Only after a kiss from Kate, Sawyer confesses that he doesn't have the meds. Sun helps Shannon with a poultice.
Sayid is ashamed that he tortured Sawyer and leaves the camp alone, saying he will map the island.
In flashbacks, Sawyer's briefcase opens in front of the woman he's just slept with, to reveal bundles of cash. Sawyer and the woman get her husband to give Sawyer money for an investment. Sawyer backs out of the deal when he sees that the couple has a son.
