Season one introduced us to the premise of the Lost: 48 people, stranded on an island after a plane crash. We experience life before the crash through flashbacks of the 14 main characters. Throughout season one, we learn, through flashbacks, why each of the main characters was on Flight 815.
We watch as the survivors struggle to survive the first few nights, and then how they struggle with the facts that they may not get rescued any time soon. In addition, survivors must deal with a mysterious island that includes an unseen monster, polar bears, and a French lady who has been there sixteen years.
The survivors struggle to survive and find their place among other survivors. Leaders clash and followers lose hope.
