Ethan Rom
Ethan is one of the Others. He was there when Richard Alpert recruited Juliet. He was in the area where the Others live when the plane crashed and Ben sent him to live among the survivors and act as if he had been on the plane. Ben tells him he wants a list.Ethan kidnapped Claire and it was discovered that he wasn't on the plane. Ethan took care of Claire and her pregnancy, but Claire escaped with the help of Alex.
Ethan threatened to kill one of the crash survivors every day until Claire was brought to him. Some of the Losties brought Claire to Ethan, but Charlie shot him.

Boone
Boone was on the plane when it crashed. He had been traveling with his stepsister, Shannon, who he was in love with. Boone and Locke found a hatch and dug it out.
