Reason for the Flight: In Sydney to investigate a claim that a girl was brought back from the dead

Profession: Drug Lord turned priest

Eko Facts:

Pre-Crash: As a child, Eko got in trouble for stealing food for his starving brother, Yemi. When thugs came and gave Yemi a gun and told him to shoot an old man, Eko stepped in and did it instead. He was then taken by the men and grew up to be a drug Lord.

Yemi grew up to be a priest and Eko blackmailed Yemi into making him a priest so that he could fly drugs out of the country. As they were leaving with the drugs, Yemi was shot and put on the drug plane and Eko was kicked off.

Eko took Yemi's place as a priest.

Island: Eko was in the tail section of the plane and helped Ana-Lucia lead the Tailies. He and Charlie began to build a church on the island, but Eko stopped after he had a vision of Yemi. He believed that his purpose was to push the button in the hatch.

Eko continued to have visions of Yemi until the smoke monster killed him after 72 days on the island (Ep: 3x5, The Cost of Living).

Strong Relationships: None

Rocky Relationships: He and Ana-Lucia didn't always agree on how to best lead the others. He and Charlie were close until Charlie got mad that Eko stopped building the church. Locke and Eko worked together and against each other as they struggled to find the meaning of life and their roles on the island.
